Key Responsibilities: This professional nurse is tasked with delivering specialized nursing care and interventions to specific patient demographics. The role encompasses providing care to newborns from the moment of delivery through their transition and discharge within a Single-Room Maternity Care (SRMC) setting.
Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to interpret medical terminology and possess a solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology. Proficiency in English is required, with bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish; English/French) preferred. Additionally, the nurse should be prepared to work extended shifts without smoking, including during breaks and meal times.
Experience: A minimum of one year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery and/or Surgery/PACU is preferred. Completion of the Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course within six months of hire is also required, specifically AWHONN's Fetal Monitoring Principles and Practice.
