Position Overview

The Assistant Director of Resident Services plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by engaging with them across various aspects of daily living. This position involves providing direct nursing care and overseeing the daily nursing operations carried out by the experienced team. Building strong relationships through effective communication is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Vice President of Resident Services in assessing staffing requirements based on client care needs and directives from healthcare providers.
  • Deliver services, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and medication oversight, following specific physician orders.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive care within the community.
  • Document all services rendered using appropriate forms or electronic health record systems.
  • Communicate and document relevant information and prepare progress notes as necessary.
  • Assist residents in maintaining personal hygiene and overall well-being.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, free from hazards, and report any issues to the Vice President or President.
  • Provide individualized healthcare support tailored to residents' needs.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health status.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care, conditions, progress, or concerns for reporting purposes.
  • Discuss observations and insights with leadership.
  • Record vital signs on a monthly basis, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.

Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered nursing license in the state.
  • 2-3 years of nursing experience in senior living environments, ideally with leadership roles.
  • LPN degree from an accredited nursing institution.
  • CPR certification.
