About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler System Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and repair to our commercial, industrial, and residential clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, including a detailed description of equipment/system malfunctions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and district staff to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment using prescribed troubleshooting procedures and technical manuals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software, systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation and be available for overnight travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET Level II certification.
  • 5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
