About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Estimator to join our team at Matos Builders LLC. As an Assistant Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our estimating team in the completion of requests for proposal, invitations to bid, and requests for qualification responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Subcontractor Solicitation: You will be responsible for soliciting subcontractors via phone calls and direct messaging to ensure timely and accurate responses.
  • Estimate File Management: You will manage estimate file integrity, ensuring that all necessary documents and information are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Team Support: You will provide support to the estimating team with their duties as needed, including attending site visits and assisting with multiple estimates.
  • Database Management: You will assist in the management of our database, including creating new invitations to bid, data base management, and creating templates and bid invitation lists.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: You must have a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Experience: You must have experience working directly with Federal Government or large institutions on construction contracts.
  • Skills: You must be proficient with spreadsheets and estimating/database software, have excellent communication skills, and be able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
Work Environment

As an Assistant Estimator at Matos Builders LLC, you will work in a fast-paced office environment with a hybrid work schedule available after a 90-day probationary period.
