Altru Health System is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join its team in Grand Forks, ND. Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with injuries or illnesses, providing diagnosis and treatment consistent with Altru's policies and standards.
- Counsel patients on preventative healthcare measures and advise on healthy lifestyle choices.
- Participate in activities and support department goals as defined by the department on an annual basis.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure quality patient care and assurance of appropriate reimbursements to Altru Health System.
- Doctorate within a specified field of medical practice from an accredited school.
- Must be admissible to sit for either the Canadian or American Board or be certified by the Canadian Board and be a member of either the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons, American board certification or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) board certification.
- Board certification in area of specialty must be obtained within five years of employment.
- Be legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota, depending on the location of the practice to which they are assigned.
This position requires frequent sitting, occasional standing, walking, stooping/bending, reaching, and squatting/crouching. The ability to handle, finger, and feel objects is required continuously. The position also requires continuous seeing and hearing. The work environment is primarily indoor with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures not applicable. The driving requirement for this position is infrequent.
