Position Summary:


The primary mission of this role is to deliver compassionate, high-quality service and both basic and advanced patient care in a professional and cost-effective manner.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess each emergency situation to determine the best course of action and the appropriate protocols.


2. Utilize medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR, and other necessary procedures and medications to provide advanced medical care.


3. Develop and apply triage skills to ensure optimal efficiency during emergency calls.

4. Provide patient care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety requirements.

5. Lift and transport patients as necessary to ensure optimal care.

6. Communicate effectively with receiving facilities to obtain medical direction and relay critical information.

7. Perform other duties as outlined in the formal job description.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Licensing/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid CA Drivers' License
- Ambulance Driver's License (from DMV)
- Medical Examiner's Card or DL51 (from DMV)
- State of California Paramedic License
- CPR Certification (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider; handwritten cards are not acceptable)
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY; handwritten cards are not acceptable)


- PALS (American Heart Association ONLY; handwritten cards are not acceptable) OR PEPP (only required for specific applicants)
- PHTLS or ITLS preferred at the time of hire (must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment for Riverside County)
- Driving record in compliance with
AMR Safety and Driving policy

(proof required if a conditional offer of employment is made)

IS-800B (NIMS) Experience:
