Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled OB Technician to join our team at St Francis Hospital. As an OB Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our Labor and Delivery team, assisting with nursing care, and supporting surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist RNs with nursing care and support surgical procedures
  • Assist physicians with vaginal deliveries and support c-sections
  • Set up for surgical procedures, including c-sections and circumcisions
  • Provide support to the Labor and Delivery team
Requirements
  • BLS certification required
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or training as a scrub tech
  • Completion of an accredited medical personnel program, such as CNA, MA, LPN, EMT, or SPD, for on-the-job training
  • Experience: Willing to consider first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience
Work Environment

Our OB Tech Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with 1 suite for c-sections, 8 Labor & Delivery beds, and 16 postpartum beds. As an OB Technician, you will work closely with our RNs and physicians to provide high-quality patient care.

  • May work up to every other weekend
  • No mandatory call
  • Rotates with permanent staff during holidays, no call
  • Call response time: 30 minutes if put on standby for regularly scheduled shift
  • Scrubs provided
  • 3-4 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
