Position Overview:
This position entails conducting comprehensive electrical power systems evaluations and transmission strategy development for renewable energy firms and utility companies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and supervise intricate power system models encompassing transmission, distribution, and generation infrastructures;
- Execute load flow, short circuit, and stability assessments for renewable energy stakeholders and utility providers;
- Generate precise and comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and calculations;
- Provide engineering expertise and support in identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical challenges;
- Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, policies, and procedures;
- Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team;
- Effectively plan, organize, estimate, schedule, coordinate, and monitor work and design tasks with multidisciplinary team members;
- Make informed decisions regarding engineering complexities and methodologies, employing advanced techniques and modifications of theories, concepts, and practices related to electrical power systems;
- Commit to continuous enhancement of engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.

Qualifications:
We welcome applications from candidates who possess:
- A Master of Science or higher in Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a Bachelor of Science with at least 3 years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of electric power system network analysis, transmission planning, and assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in conducting load flow, short circuit, and transient stability studies using software such as ETAP, SKM, PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, PowerFactory, or ASPEN.
- Familiarity with NERC and Transmission Planner/Planning Coordinator reliability standards and criteria.
- Understanding of IEEE and IEC standards applicable to the design and analysis of transmission, distribution, and generation facilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to travel for stakeholder meetings, working groups, and conferences.
- A Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Ability to obtain Professional Engineer licensure within two years of employment commencement.
- Experience in electromagnetic transient analysis (PSCAD/EMTDC, ATP, EMTP-RV), writing equipment specifications, and conducting harmonic and GIC analysis.
- Knowledge of Python and EPCL programming.
