Seeking a highly skilled Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our team as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Telepsychiatry at Stony Brook University. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of psychiatry through innovative research and education.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team of clinicians, educators, and researchers in providing comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care to a diverse population. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, you will serve as an Attending Psychiatrist in our Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Program, overseeing direct patient care, diagnostic evaluations, follow-up care, and teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct patient care in the adult outpatient clinic, including diagnostic evaluations, follow-up care, and teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Collaborate with a motivated multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and advance the field of psychiatry through innovative research and education.
- Participate in clinical research involving psychiatric inpatient and outpatient treatment and collaborate with other departments to drive innovation and growth.
- Offer a hybrid schedule with remote days, along with outpatient office hours at our Riverhead clinic, and provide telehealth services, including psychiatry OPD and integration psychiatry program.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess an MD/DO (or foreign equivalent) with Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry. You must also have New York State Licensure or eligibility. Preferred qualifications include clinical experience in Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Program, a track record of research, teaching experience in Psychiatry, experience in Telepsychiatry, and a Suboxone Waiver.
