Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. As an LPN with Wexford Health Sources, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses, direct and guide patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies.
  • Implement medical plans through administering medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
  • Document nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicate information to supervisory personnel and physicians, in accordance with provider's orders.
  • Assist in maintaining working and living areas and supplies in good order.
  • Serve as a member of a nursing care and treatment team, and assist physician as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted STATE Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
