Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role encompasses both inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring comprehensive treatment for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.

Key Details:
  • Specialty: Hematology & Medical Oncology
  • Job Type: Locum Tenens
  • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
  • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental
  • Coverage Type: Clinical + call
  • Shifts Required: Various shifts to be filled
  • Shift Schedule: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Call Schedule: Nights and weekends
  • Patient Volume: 8-12 outpatient, 8 inpatient
  • Patient Demographics: Adult & Geriatric
  • Practice Composition: 60% Hematology, 40% Medical Oncology

Responsibilities:
  • Management of Vascular Access Devices and Central Venous Catheters
  • Participation in tumor board meetings
  • Ordering tests and imaging
  • Prescribing medications
  • Administration of chemotherapy in collaboration with nursing staff

Additional Information:
  • Trauma Level: III
  • EMR System: Aria/Meditech
  • Travel and lodging: Covered
  • Malpractice Insurance: Provided

Qualifications:
  • Active Pennsylvania Medical License
  • Board Certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology
  • ACLS Certification
  • Local candidates preferred
  • Clean professional record
  • Able to commit to at least two weeks of coverage per month
