Job Summary

Emerge Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on a per diem basis. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure their physical and emotional needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, oral care, and incontinence care
  • Provide assistance with ambulation, activities, and administering nourishment
  • Participate in informal and formal resident care meetings
  • Perform duties as instructed by written assignment, including resident care and activities of daily living
  • Assist with serving meals and feeding residents
  • Maintain orderly resident rooms and ensure call cords are within easy reach
  • Make rounds on assigned residents at the beginning of each shift and at least every hour thereafter
  • Care for clean and soiled linen
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new CNAs as necessary
  • Attend all required in-service training
Requirements
  • General knowledge of healthcare needs of geriatric residents
  • General knowledge of infection control practices and procedures, including protective equipment and universal precautions
  • Ability to cooperate with personnel from all departments and maintain confidentiality
