As a Therapy Specialist with Restore Therapy Services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients, primarily focusing on pediatric therapy. This position requires a strong commitment to ensuring the highest degree of quality care while providing therapy services and supervising therapy assistants.

About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate patients' functional status, identify equipment needs, and participate in the development of total plans of care. You will work closely with referring physicians and other company professionals to communicate treatment plans and coordinate care.

  • Evaluate patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, self-care ability, and work capacity.
  • Develop treatment programs and establish goals for improved function.
  • Communicate treatment plans to referring physicians and other company professionals.
  • Teach new skills or retrain patients in daily activities lost due to illness or injury.
  • Fabricate splints and instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment.
  • Train patients in prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and reports any changes in patient condition to physicians.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. You should also be registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association and hold a valid therapy license in the state employed.

You will need to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills. Familiarity with computer software, including starting programs, using files, and navigating screens, is essential. Experience with Apple iPads and iPods is a plus.
