Ethos Risk Services, a nationwide risk mitigation company, is seeking an experienced Senior Investigative Claims Examiner to join its team. Based in the Lubbock, TX area, this role involves conducting investigations into insurance claims, identifying potential fraud, and providing evidence-based recommendations for claim decisions.

Job Summary

This part-time position requires a strong background in insurance investigations, with previous experience as a SIU / Claims Field Investigator or similar role. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations into insurance claims, including recorded statements, accident scene investigations, online research, and witness canvassing
  • Identify compensability issues, misrepresentation, and understand insurance coverage as it pertains to claims decisions
  • Recognize red flags and follow where the investigation leads, doing due diligence to conduct a thorough investigation
Requirements
  • Previous SIU experience with an insurance carrier or investigative firm
  • Former military or law enforcement
  • Two years' experience in property loss investigations (or adjusting) to include theft, fire, water, wind and vandalism losses
Education and Certifications
  • Private Investigator License required
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • May require Notary
Preferred Skills
  • Strong computer and internet skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, listening skills and high attention to details
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and location. In addition to a competitive salary, Ethos Risk Services offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
