Job Summary

UCHealth is seeking an Advanced Care Partner to join our 4 East Medical Surgical team. As an Advanced Care Partner, you will provide direct patient care under the delegation and/or supervision of a nurse/healthcare provider. You will prioritize wellness and patient perspectives, model proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare, and effectively partner with specialized ancillary team members.

Responsibilities
  • Provides direct patient care, including gathering vital signs, measuring blood glucose, performing sterile dressing changes, starting peripheral IVs, and measuring intake and output.
  • Assists patients with personal care, activities of daily living, and progressive mobility.
  • Assists to keep care area stocked, cleaned, and orderly.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider within 30 days of hire.
  • Enrolled in an accredited nursing program and in good standing.
  • Must have completed first clinical rotation (equivalent to Med/Surg I) and provide transcripts of successful completion.
