We are seeking a skilled Medical Assessment Specialist to perform medical evaluations on US Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-person physical exams and review electronic medical records to assess Veteran needs.
  • Electronically document exam findings using a web-based portal.
  • No disability determinations will be made, as this is the role of the United States Veterans Administration.
About the Role

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with an estimated salary range of $85,000 to $115,000 per year, depending on experience. As a Medical Assessment Specialist, you will work independently to complete medical assessments, analyzing data from medical records and exam findings to form medical opinions.

You will have access to comprehensive training and support, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. Health insurance options are available, and a computer will be provided. The typical workload consists of 3-5 patients per day, working in a clinical setting.

Requirements
  • A current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (NCCPA accredited).
  • Proficiency in using a computer.
