Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Rehabilitation Therapist Assistant to join our team at Health & Human Services Comm. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their full potential.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. You will work closely with our experienced therapists to provide routine habilitative and rehabilitative therapy services. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with services as directed by implementing treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties, accompanying individuals to and from activities and appointments, and performing housekeeping duties in therapeutic activity areas.

Responsibilities
  • Assist therapists with providing routine habilitative and rehabilitative therapy services
  • Help implement treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties
  • Accompany individuals to and from activities and appointments
  • Perform housekeeping duties in therapeutic activity areas
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or in performing therapeutic work (preferred)
  • Valid Texas driver's license or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire date
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we also offer excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
