Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement the Respiratory Care Plan.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation and respond to emergent patient situations.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
Requirements
  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • American Heart Association BLS health care provider certification.
  • Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
