Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects with minimal supervision, coordinating activities during the development phase and ensuring approval from customers.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality requirements, while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain timelines, track budgets, and communicate effectively with project resources and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities from design to pilot tool, to production mold, and into production, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Manage project planning, Gantt charts, scheduling constraints, and identify bottlenecks to create solutions.
  • Understand priorities of projects, manage priorities, and communicate effectively across key stakeholders.
  • Adhere to project management and stage-gated processes, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Oversee projects, manage project load, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Address customer complaints, concerns, or requests throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and vendors to determine project requirements, coordinate activities, and provide direction.
  • Document key project information, maintain costs, and manage health, safety, and legal requirements.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time, with accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Packaging, Mechanical, or Plastics engineering.
  • Three years of project management experience, preferably within the plastics industry.
  • Understanding of blow molding platforms and limitations.
  • Ability to apply and assess SPC/statistics/Quality charts/Six sigma principles.
  • Knowledge of bottle testing, capable of conducting dimensional and functional evaluations.
  • Knowledge of Packaging systems - types, costs, ordering procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of packaging system issues.
