Overview:

Pinnacle Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Road Surfacing Operations Supervisor to oversee a team engaged in significant surfacing projects across the UK. The demand for skilled professionals in this sector is currently high, particularly in the Midlands and London areas.


Key Responsibilities:

As the supervisor, you will be accountable for managing road surfacing teams and ensuring the effective execution of contracts. Your role will involve:

  • Coordinating and supervising daily operations to optimize labor and materials.
  • Overseeing various projects including heavy civil works, embankment reinforcement, and full carriageway construction.
  • Managing relationships with principal contractors and local authorities.
  • Implementing quality management systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting issues to the project manager.
  • Conducting inspections and testing to verify adherence to contract requirements.
  • Preparing financial and progress reports.
  • Facilitating site safety inductions and promoting innovative practices.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience with a UK Main Contractor.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role within the surfacing sector.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively plan and manage projects.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to project management.
