Position Overview: The Department of Medicine at Rutgers University is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Admitter to enhance our Hospitalist Division. This role is pivotal in managing patients admitted to the hospitalist service, working closely with a team of specialists and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the care of patients admitted to the hospitalist service, ensuring seamless collaboration with emergency department physicians and other medical staff.
  • Facilitate transitions of care for patients returning to outpatient settings, coordinating with medical and surgical support teams.
  • Engage in effective communication with case managers, social workers, and pharmacy teams to promote patient-centered care.
