The Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in providing essential support within the healthcare environment. This position operates under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON) and collaborates closely with the nursing management team to ensure the efficient execution of various support tasks.
Key Responsibilities
The Nursing Assistant is responsible for:
- Monitoring and documenting client progress in accordance with established treatment plans.
- Ensuring a safe and secure treatment environment by proactively safeguarding clients.
- Maintaining precise and detailed records of client care, with timely documentation of daily and weekly progress.
- Assisting in upholding compliance with clinical record-keeping and documentation standards.
- Supporting regulatory compliance and addressing any deviations from established care standards, including assisting with admissions and discharges.
Qualifications
Education:
Completion of a nursing program (PT, PN, VN) or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Experience:
A minimum of four (4) years in a healthcare setting, including at least two (2) years as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) or Certified Medical Assistant (C.M.A.).
