Job Title: Workers Compensation Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workers Compensation Paralegal to join our team at Seigel Tully Furrer Rouhana & Tully. As a Workers Compensation Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys in handling workers' compensation claims.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct new client interviews and telephone screenings to gather information and determine claim status.
  • Verify parties in proceedings and research prior work and outside injuries.
  • Obtain claim information, medical authorizations, and causation letters.
  • Ascertain issues in dispute and submit client mileage, prescription, and reimbursement requests.
  • Contact client's treating physicians to coordinate medical care and treatment.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and evaluations of claims.
  • Review and organize claim documentation.
  • Schedule and prepare clients for Independent Medical Evaluation (IME) appointments.
  • Prepare and submit medicals to IME physicians.
  • File issues for Permanent Partial Disability (PPD).
  • Prepare for hearings or move to settlement if applicable.
  • Update clients on hearing results or settlement status.
  • Track claims on SOLs for possible worsening of condition.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of workers' compensation experience or legal experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
