Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tax Clerk to join our team at Daily Services LLC. The successful candidate will have experience in tax preparation, office support, or a related administrative role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Return Processing:
    • Process and prepare 1040 and 1041 tax returns for clients, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
    • Organize client tax return information, sort and scan documents as needed.
    • Utilize autoflow tools to streamline tax return processing.
  • Electronic Filing:
    • Oversee the electronic filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure accurate and timely submission of all electronically filed returns.
  • Client Estimates:
    • Process and oversee client tax estimates, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
    • Manage EFTPS for client estimates and payments.
  • General Administrative Support:
    • Provide backup receptionist support, including greeting clients and answering phone calls.
    • Assist the Office Manager with day-to-day tasks and administrative duties.

Work Schedule:

  • Tax Season (January - April):
    • Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Off-Season (April - December):
    • Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
    • Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Compensation:

  • The estimated salary for this position is $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in accounting preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in tax preparation, tax office support, or a related administrative role.
  • Familiarity with 1040 and 1041 tax forms and electronic filing processes.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency with tax software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs of office supplies or documents.
