About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Partner to join our Emerging Companies Group at Brookwood Recruitment Ltd. As a Tax Partner, you will be responsible for providing strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to emerging and startup companies and entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and Nurture Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in high-growth sectors, including technology, food & beverage, health & beauty, professional services, and more.
  • Understand Client Needs: Understand the unique challenges and needs of startups, offering personalized business services to help them thrive.
  • Collaborate with Clients: Work with clients to create tax-efficient strategies that align with their business goals.
  • Provide Tax Advice: Offer advice on tax implications for key business decisions, such as fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, international expansion, and employee stock options.
  • Ensure Tax Compliance: Ensure clients meet their tax compliance obligations by preparing and reviewing tax returns, including federal, state, and local filings.
  • Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations that could affect clients.
  • Lead a Team: Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, including associates and senior associates, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Mentor and Develop Team Members: Mentor and develop junior team members, helping them grow their skills and expertise.
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the emerging companies market.
  • Participate in Business Development: Participate in business development activities, including networking events, seminars, and conferences.
  • Develop a Go-to-Market Strategy: Create and implement a go-to-market strategy to drive growth within the group.
  • Educate Clients: Educate clients on tax strategies, compliance requirements, and potential risks, making complex concepts easy to understand.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required or equivalent experience.
  • CPA Designation: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation or relevant professional qualification.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in providing tax advisory and compliance services to emerging companies and entrepreneurs.
  • Strong Understanding of Tax Laws: Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and their application to startup businesses.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Business Acumen: Business acumen and the ability to think strategically.

What We Offer:
