Machinist Specialist

Job Summary:

As a skilled Machinist at Tradesmen International, you will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, or replacing defective parts, and reassembling machinery using machinist's tools, chain hoists, and steel rollers. Additionally, you will install ship machinery, such as propelling machinery and steering gear, working from blueprints and using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.

Key Responsibilities:

Dismantle and reassemble machinery using machinist's tools and equipment
Repair or replace defective parts to ensure optimal machine performance
Install ship machinery, including propelling machinery and steering gear, from blueprints and using hand tools
Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and safe working practices

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in machinist work
Strong knowledge of machinist's tools and equipment
Ability to work from blueprints and use hand tools, calipers, and micrometers
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
