Job Opportunity:

Tutor Doctor, a leading education services company, is seeking a skilled Math and Physics Educator to provide high-quality tutoring services to students in North County San Diego.

Job Summary:

This is a part-time, hourly position that offers competitive compensation and a supportive work environment. As a Math and Physics Educator, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with students in their homes, helping them improve their understanding and performance in these subject areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized tutoring sessions in Math and Physics to high school students of various skill levels.
  • Develop and implement customized lesson plans and learning strategies based on each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Identify and address any knowledge gaps or misconceptions in the subject material.
  • Communicate effectively with students and their parents/guardians to track progress and adjust tutoring techniques as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Tutor Doctor team to ensure student success and overall program effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of college-level education toward a bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, or a related field.
  • 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience in Math and Physics.
  • Strong knowledge of Math and Physics concepts and principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt tutoring techniques to meet the learning styles and needs of individual students.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes in North County San Diego.
