Salary and Compensation
$24 - 28 / Hourly Wage
Our team members are rewarded with a competitive hourly wage of $24 - 28, commensurate with skill, education, and experience. In addition to their base pay, team members may also be eligible for bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
Job Description
A Day in the Life of a Repair Mechanic
The Repair Mechanic, also known as a Vehicle Restoration Specialist, plays a crucial role in our company's mission to WOW every customer. This talented individual is responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of each customer's vehicle. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies, as well as the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute repair work, including disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles.
- Use various tools, such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers, to repair sections of a vehicle.
- Hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage, or mix and apply filler resins to repair dents when other methods are not feasible.
- Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove damaged sections of vehicles and replace them with new or aftermarket parts.
- Replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.
- Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
- Weld and otherwise attach or fit parts into place.
- Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent.
- Ensure all work has been executed correctly by inspecting vehicles after repair.
Education and Experience
Requirements for Success
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
