Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists in the execution of pharmaceutical care, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in all phases of pharmacy services, including medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management.
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare and deliver medications for dispensing, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Utilize pharmacy technology to distribute medications efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of medication supplies, including controlled substance inventories.
- Compound medications in accordance with state law and policy, performing calculations as necessary.
- Ensure pharmacy cleanliness and orderliness, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Assist pharmacists in collecting clinical and other patient information, as required.
- Effectively manage pharmacy inventory to ensure security, accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulations.
- Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to departmental meetings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Provisional Pharmacy Technician license through the MT Board of Pharmacy.
- CPhT certification required within 12 months of hire.
- Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, technician training, and current BLS certification.
This is a full-time position, with a scheduled weekly hours of 40. The hourly range for this position is $24.88. Intermountain Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
