Aerospace Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team in the Moog Space and Defense Group. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to produce high-quality hardware.

• Set up and operate machines, including grinders, mills, lathes, and machine centers, to produce quality acceptable hardware.
• Ensure part quality by using assorted inspection equipment.
• Maintain working knowledge of our procedures, including following shop practices and understanding shop terminology.
• Set up and check tooling for proper settings and dimensions, make necessary adjustments/troubleshoot problems to produce quality parts.
• Document setup information.
• Program using Mazatrol.
• Work with manufacturing engineering/management to improve manufacturing processes.
• May train other employees and assist operators.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years or more of related machine shop experience.
• Can read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with Mazak machines/Mazatrol programming, CMM (coordinate measuring machine), and/or lean manufacturing preferred.

The base pay range for this opportunity is $35.00 per hour. 2nd shift employees receive 10% shift differential pay = $27.74-$38.50 per hour.
