At ECHN, we offer a competitive salary of $105,000 per year for this Registered Nurse position. With over five years of progressive experience in clinical practice, nursing education, and/or nursing management, you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor direct care providers to enhance specialized patient care within our Intensive Care Units and Step Down Units.

Job Description
  • Provides clinical expertise, education, consultation, leadership, and research in selected clinical areas to benefit patients, staff, and the organization.
  • Promotes compliance with regulations by working with ECHN staff to develop practices that are relevant and compliant.
  • Facilitates project teams as well as organizational department efforts to improve systems and process within ECHN.

This role requires a graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing and a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut. A BSN from an accredited University is also required, while a Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in clinical practice, nursing education, and/or nursing management in an acute care setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to assess the quality of care for a specific patient population.

In this role, you will collaborate with members of the healthcare team to develop standards of care, clinical procedures, or quality improvement plans. You will participate in both formal and informal teaching and coaching of staff nurses, graduate nursing students, other healthcare professionals, and patients/families.
