Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Transport Driver to join our team at Wayne Transports, Inc. as a Bulk Delivery Specialist. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering petroleum-based products in bulk to various customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading petroleum products at refineries, ethanol plants, and bulk storage facilities.
  • Unloading petroleum products at numerous customer locations, including gas stations, airports, refineries, and bulk storage facilities.
  • Operating a Power Take Off to pump on and off petroleum and ethanol products.
  • Dropping, hooking, and connecting trailers to semi-trucks, including manually raising and lowering dolly legs on the trailer.
  • Hooking up hoses and fittings to load and unload petroleum products safely and securely.
  • Checking customer tank levels prior to unloading to ensure tanks do not fill past 90% ullage.
  • Properly using vapor recovery hoses at all loading and unloading locations.
  • Reaching, pulling, and pushing petroleum hoses weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Climbing up ladders on trailers to check tank levels and ensure loads are secured.
  • Climbing in and out of semi-trucks using three points of contact.
  • Loading exactly the right petroleum products, quantities, and suppliers on all loads per dispatch instructions.
  • Engaging in general conversations in English with dispatchers, customers, and loaders to accommodate their needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. Stooping, bending, twisting, pulling, grasping
  • Climbing, prolonged sitting

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A - CDL driver's license with tanker and hazmat endorsement.
  • Approved medical card via DOT certified doctor, PA, Chiropractor
  • DOT 49 CFR formerly HM-126 training
