Position Overview:

Your responsibilities will encompass the inspection, upkeep, and repair of various types of forklifts, including electric, propane, and diesel models. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a steadfast commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections of the forklift fleet to detect potential mechanical issues, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
  • Execute preventative maintenance procedures to guarantee optimal performance, including fluid level checks, component lubrication, and part replacements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems on forklifts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Effectively repair and replace defective components using the appropriate tools and techniques, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and steering systems.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines and adhere to company safety protocols during maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Maintain precise records of maintenance activities, parts utilized, and equipment conditions for documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and ensure a well-organized workshop environment.
  • Assist in managing an adequate inventory of spare parts and consumables necessary for forklift maintenance and repairs.
  • Stay updated on the latest forklift models, technologies, and industry advancements to enhance your technical knowledge.
  • Engage in safety training and foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations for forklifts.

Remote Position: No

Compensation:
Minimum: USD $20.00/Hr.
Maximum: USD $35.00/Hr.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal technical training in forklift mechanics or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Forklift Technician, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of forklift systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, with proficiency in executing repairs.
  • Familiarity with forklift maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Adept at reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and promoting best safety practices.
  • A valid forklift operator's license and additional certifications in forklift maintenance are advantageous.
