Railway Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Train Conductor to join our Operations team at CPKC. As a key member of our railway operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains across our network.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the movement of trains, including switching rail cars and making or splitting up trains in rail yards.
- Work as a member of a train crew, assisting in the safe operation of trains and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitor and respond to signals and other indications affecting train movement.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to crew members via radio communication.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of and follow General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR), general orders, and bulletins.
- Respond to emergency situations, including providing flag protection and relaying signals to trains.
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to work unscheduled shift work in a 24/7 operating environment.
- Ability to work up to 12 hour shifts, including days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent focus, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and concise instructions.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions for long periods of time.
