Job Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Bluebird Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a travel nursing opportunity in Artesia, New Mexico.

Job Summary:

As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data to identify potential complications and take proactive measures to prevent them.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and provide education on disease management and self-care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current New Mexico RN license or RN license with Multistate Compact privileges.
  • One year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, with a strong foundation in critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • BLS certification, with ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred.
