We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Terminal/Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our terminal. This is a key leadership role that requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and requirements, advising management on needed actions.
  • Monitor daily reports and metrics for each department, ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Manage a team of 8-12 delivery personnel, overseeing daily operations and deliveries.
  • Maintain vendor and customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure the physical condition of the warehouse, inspecting equipment and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orientating, and training employees.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed, planning and monitoring staff results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in terminal operations, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and drivers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of fleet management and delivery software, with the ability to operate and troubleshoot systems.
