Job Title: Janitor/ Public Space/ Driver

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Janitor/ Public Space/ Driver. As a vital part of our hotel's overall guest impression, you will be responsible for ensuring our public areas are clean and well-maintained. This role requires a strong attention to detail, ability to follow a consistent routine, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all interior and exterior corridors and public areas, including parking lots, hallways, elevators, service areas, stairways, restrooms, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
  • Perform tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash, and emptying ashtrays.
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed.
  • Complete deep cleaning or preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure all hotel property is in working order and report any missing articles, damage, or mechanical problems to management or supervisor.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, such as flipping mattresses and moving furniture.
  • Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance operations and procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • General knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers, and dryers.
  • Able to understand and speak some of the English language.
  • Able to prioritize work assignments.
  • Demonstrate genuine care for quality of work.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to walk and/or stand for the majority of your shift.
