Content Creator

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Content Creator to join our team at Sam Houston State University. As a Content Creator, you will be responsible for planning and creating engaging content for our social media platforms and writing news stories for our website.

• Develop and implement content strategies to engage our audience and promote our university's mission
• Write and edit news stories, social media posts, and other content for our website and social media platforms
• Attend university events and take photos and videos to use in our content
• Assist with photo and video projects as needed
• Perform other marketing and content-related duties as assigned

• Prefer mass communication major with a public relations or multi-platform journalism emphasis
• Have writing experience and be able to work independently
• Be available to work 10-20 hours per week between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with some weekend work for events
