Position Overview

The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the logistics and distribution operations by efficiently managing the movement of products within the warehouse. This position involves utilizing a forklift to locate, store, and retrieve items, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and dispatched.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts to transport materials and products to designated areas.
  • Pick and pack orders, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and prepared for shipment.
  • Conduct inventory management tasks, including using scanning equipment to track product locations and quantities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including disposing of waste materials and returning unused items.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company standards while performing all duties.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach overhead for extended periods.
  • Proficient in operating a forklift.
  • Capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic proficiency in mathematics and English literacy.

Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • Prior experience in warehouse or distribution settings.
  • Familiarity with RF scanning technology.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
