Key Responsibilities
As a grading supervisor, you will:
  • Oversee and document grading activities and utility installations.
  • Train team members in grade setting, equipment operation, and excavation tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Provide leadership in scheduling, workforce planning, and cost control.
  • Directly supervise field employees in various construction activities, including excavation and underground utility installation.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Facilitate daily safety meetings and complete Job Safety Analyses (JSA) as needed.
  • Evaluate crew performance and address any issues that arise among team members.
  • Manage the use and maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in grading operations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience operating heavy construction equipment.
  • The ability to read and interpret grade stakes and construction drawings.
  • A willingness to work in various weather conditions and overtime as required.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • A commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
