We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Synchrony Health Services. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of a physical therapist to provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic interventions as directed by the physical therapist in campus locations, home health and/or outpatient care.
- Travel to other locations up to and including overnight stays in a designated territory.
- Evaluate patient response to treatment and provide feedback to the rest of the team.
- Document the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment.
- Collaborate with the physical therapist to develop new methods of delivering education to patients and family.
- Assist the physical therapist in providing team members with in-service/cross-training on physical therapy knowledge and skill areas as needed.
- Contribute to the delivery of cost-effective care.
- Report any complaints and/or grievances made by the residents to the Rehab Program Director or Director of Health Services.
- Report incidents or suspected incidents of resident abuse to the Rehab Program Director/Director of Health Services and/or the Executive Director immediately.
- Comply with all resident rights per the company's Resident Rights Policy.
- Maintain professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.
- Participate in survey preparation activities.
- Associate Degree
- 0-1 years of experience
- Current CPR Certification for healthcare providers through CPR training that includes hands on practice and in-person skills assessment preferred
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
