We are seeking a skilled Materials Handler II to join our team at Pelican Staffing. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and inventory within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling: Safely and efficiently move materials and inventory within the warehouse, adhering to all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately track and manage inventory levels, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or issues.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate the receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and inventory.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of materials and inventory.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Skills: Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to speak distinctly and see and hear clearly.
  • Software: Familiarity with SAP inventory management software a plus.
  • Equipment: Forklift experience preferred, but not required.
