Advance Practice Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist Job Description

Scripps Health is seeking an experienced Advance Practice Nurse (Clinical Nurse Specialist) to support our inpatient department at Scripps Green Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinician expertise to our staff and serve as a consultant and expert for our site and systemwide projects.
  • Assume clinical leadership responsibilities for nursing and nursing practice, including evaluating clinical practice for patient care and monitoring standards of practice.
  • Facilitate point of service decision making activities, including education, research, and performance improvement for areas of expertise.
Requirements:
  • Two years full-time equivalent of experience as an RN, preferably in the APN role.
  • Prefer three to five years working in specialty area.
  • Provides portfolio for the interview with at least 2 examples of creative work, leadership activities, and evidence-based practice change projects.
  • Prefer those with experience leading a project to measured outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist working experience.
