Job Title: Short Order Cook

Job Summary:

21 Locks Brewing Company is seeking a skilled Short Order Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Short Order Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of consistent, quality foods that require short preparation time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure food is consistently delivered quickly and hot and meet customer specifications
  • Ensure food is fully prepared and meets the FDA requirements for proper food temperatures
  • Ability to read orders, understand instruction and talk to fellow staff members
  • Grill and garnish hamburgers or other meats
  • Grill, cook, and fry foods such as French fries, eggs, and breakfast meats
  • Perform simple food preparation tasks such as preparing vegetables and carving meats etc.
  • Plan work on orders so that items served together are finished at the same time
  • Taking customer orders through the point of sales system
  • Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters or tables

Requirements:

  • On-the-job training in food preparation and sanitation techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and work quickly and efficiently
  • Strong communication, team working and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good manual dexterity to handle sharp knives and other utensils
  • Great sense of taste
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
