Job Summary

Vision Achievement is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Project Coordinator. This role will provide engineering expertise and support to our estimating, project management, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Coordinate Electrical Systems: Collaborate with our engineering team to design and coordinate electrical power and lighting distribution systems that meet project specifications.
  • Manage VDC/BIM Modelers: Supervise and schedule 3D modelers and 2D drafters to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Review and Write Project Specifications: Review, edit, and write project specifications under the guidance of a Professional Engineer (PE) on staff.
  • Generate and Review Production Submittals: Generate and review production submittals against project specifications, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in Estimating Process: Participate in estimating process for electrical contractors by attending jobsite walkthroughs, defining scope, and generating bills of materials.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering: A degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Experience in Electrical Contracting: A minimum of 25 years of experience in electrical contracting or an architectural/engineering firm is required.
  • Proficiency in Revit Software: Strong skills and proficiency in Revit software are required.
  • Project Specification Experience: Proven experience in reviewing, editing, and writing project specifications is required.
  • Production Submittal Experience: Experience in generating and reviewing production submittals against project specifications is required.
  • Walkthrough and Bill of Materials Experience: Experience in walkthroughs defining scope and generating bills of materials is required.
  • Self-Directed and Strong Communication Skills: Must be self-directed, able to manage others, and possess strong communication skills.
  • Ability to Work Cohesively: Ability to work cohesively with other departments within the company.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to Travel: Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to jobsites in multiple states.
