Job Description

The Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority seeks a seasoned Construction Management Lead to oversee the development and construction aspects of designated projects. This role reports to the Director of Real Estate & Construction and requires expertise in contractor and resource procurement, regulatory compliance, schedule management, and budgetary considerations.

Responsibilities
  • Determine project scope and budget requirements in collaboration with other departments.
  • Develop Request For Proposal documents and select contractors for assigned activities.
  • Ensure adherence to project requirements by conveying necessary information to relevant parties.
  • Review designs and drawings for code and technical compliance.
  • Organize multiple projects to ensure timely completion, maintain project schedules, and assign tasks to outside firms.
  • Enforce safety standards on assigned construction sites.
  • Maintain high performance standards for construction and development work.
  • Oversee change order and claims processes from identification through implementation.
  • Review payment requests from contractors, conduct site inspections, and ensure accuracy of payment records.
  • Monitor contract performance schedules and determine contract time extensions.
  • Assist in managing project budgets and develop scenarios for achieving budget goals.
  • Communicate updates on proposed developments to the development team.
  • Assist with zoning and permit requirements, variances, and regulatory concerns.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of verifiable construction management experience, preferably in large-scale multi-story developments, multi-family affordable housing, or federally funded projects.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to oversee construction effectively.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards related to performance and productivity.
  • Technical knowledge application skills and proficiency in computer systems, estimating systems, scheduling programs, and budget control monitoring techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $ 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
