Job Title: Substitute Teacher Aide

At ESS Education, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substitute Teacher Aide to join our team. As a Substitute Teacher Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students, helping them to understand and engage with the curriculum.
  • Assist the classroom teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Support the teacher with administrative duties, such as setting up equipment and preparing materials, to ensure a smooth and efficient learning experience.
  • Supervise students in various settings, including the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and during before and after school programs.
  • Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs, providing a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans, ensuring that their individual needs are met.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a passion for learning.
  • State/FBI Criminal History Clearance, ensuring a safe and secure environment for students and staff.
  • Drug test, demonstrating a commitment to a healthy and safe work environment.
