Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, this Nursing Assistant will provide basic patient care to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care activities, including vital sign measurements and personal care.
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active Nursing Assistant licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • At least one year of previous experience as a Nursing Assistant, preferably in a medical/surgical unit.
Work Environment

This position is a Per Diem/PRN opportunity, rotating weekends and various shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
