IT Director for Critical Access Hospital

American Consultants is seeking a highly experienced IT Director to lead our critical access hospital outside of Couer d'Alene, Idaho.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a seasoned IT professional with experience in leadership roles, preferably in interim or transitional positions. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the IT department, providing strategic direction and ensuring high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
Main Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, providing leadership to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and governance standards.
- Technology Strategy and Planning
- Evaluate current IT infrastructure and systems to identify areas for improvement or enhancement.
- Develop and implement short-term strategies to optimize IT operations and address immediate needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with business goals and requirements.
- Cybersecurity and Risk Management
- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect the organization's data, systems, and infrastructure.
- Oversee risk assessments and implement policies and procedures to mitigate potential security threats.
- Operational Support
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for users across the organization.
- Ensure system uptime, data integrity, and smooth operation of all IT systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in IT leadership roles, ideally with experience in interim or transitional positions.
- Demonstrated success in overseeing IT operations, leading teams, and managing projects.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
