Diner Server

We are seeking a skilled and friendly server to join our team at Black Bear Diner in Fernley. As a server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.

The estimated salary for this position is $12-$15 per hour, depending on experience. The server will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

1. Welcome and greet guests promptly, making them feel comfortable and valued.
2. Inform guests of daily specials and feature items, highlighting the unique offerings of our restaurant.
3. Answer questions about our menu, answering any queries in a clear and concise manner.
4. Take accurate food and beverage orders, entering them into our point-of-sale system with efficiency.
5. Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring they receive their order as quickly as possible.
6. Routine tasks include running food orders from the pick-up window, performing side work, maintaining clean service areas, and pre-busing tables frequently.
7. Prepare bills, present checks to guests, and ensure prompt payment.

• Verbal and language skills to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Basics math skills, knowledge of dining room procedures, and ability to handle cash transactions.
• Ability to stand for long periods, safely lift plates and supplies weighing up to 10 pounds, and work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
